In the heart of South Miami, Florida, lies a home that transcends mere walls and ceilings—it's a sanctuary of style, elegance, and warmth. Nestled within this haven of sophistication, my piece Azure Dream has found its perfect setting, and I'm deeply honored that my collectors have chosen my work for their new home.
This commissioned piece titled Azure Dream is more than just a painting; it's a reflection of the essence of the space it inhabits. Collaborating closely with talented interior designer Diana Gomez of DG Decor, every brushstroke and hue was meticulously chosen to harmonize with the home's modern, zen, and minimalist vibe.
FROM DAWN TO DUSK
In creating this unique oversized piece, I found inspiration in the simple joys of everyday life. Long walks have become a source of tranquility and inspiration for me. In the early mornings, I truly enjoy watching the dawn slowly paint Miami's skies in beautiful shades of bright blue. Late-night strolls with my dog Leo are equally inspiring. Despite the darkness, the sky is always adorned with a beautiful glowing moon and stars, casting a serene beauty over the neighborhood. Seemingly endless days turn into my own inner sanctuary, finding tranquility in the quiet of the night; it's my favorite way to end the day.
TEXTURES. COLORS. SHAPES
I’m an observer. I always register the color palette in front of me, inspired by textures from leaves or patterns of the concrete. Everything has a history, and there is beauty all around us if we care to look closely, if we stop to smell the flowers, as the saying goes. Every memory from my walks goes back with me into my studio, as I bring these colors and patterns to create my new work.
From golden arches in soft gold and vanilla tones to depict the warmth of the sun, to big and bold indigo washes, meticulously shaped and layered one after the other, each element in Azure Dream was carefully placed to evoke serenity and wonder. It's a call to the viewer to stand in front of this painting, inviting them to discover its shapes, hear the sounds, explore further, and get lost in this serene mental landscape.
