WELCOME TO MY BLOG
Art and the act of self-expression through visual and performing arts have always been my joy since my early years. Growing up in Barranquilla, Colombia, was festive, colorful, and filled with many moments of creativity.
Surrounded by the creations of my talented parents –my dad, an architect, and my mom, a textile and fashion designer, naturally, my love for the arts was inevitable. I brought those colors, sounds, and memories from my childhood to the U.S, where I continue my creative journey (More on BIO)
Fast forward to a Friday of August 2017, waking up to deafness in my right ear. Since then, ringing in the ear, sound sensitivity, and dizziness have been a constant. Experiencing sudden hearing loss was confusing and devastating, yet, a humbling and transformative experience. A life-altering event that showed me a new side of myself and a rebirth as a creator.
